It’s officially Pisces season, and fittingly, Ziwe flew to Paris to be with her fellow escapists. After being anointed as a master of satire over the pandemic for her viral Instagram Live show “Baited with Ziwe”—and now, the late-night talk show Ziwe on Showtime—the comedian and writer, who turned 31 on February 27, is taking her trademark deadpan humor and bone-dry wit across the pond—specifically, to fashion week.
“I’m not going to lie to y’all, I have a strict workout regimen,” she says, tinged in sarcasm. “I do kickboxing classes on YouTube and I start each day with a hearty meal of macarons.” In terms of accessories, Ziwe prefers spacious bags (“It’s the only way I’m able to carry my disposable camera”) and sneakers (“I grew up near a New Balance factory, so you already know I loved this Miu Miu by New Balance collab”).
Below, Ziwe gives ELLE.com a peek into her getting-ready process, from her love of dirty mirrors to introducing her glam team to the Vanderpump Rules drama.
