The 20 Best Summer Perfumes to Buy for Your Vacation
Santal 33? More like Summer '23.
The best summer perfume is like a properly planned vacation: it should excite, it should fit your mood, and most importantly, it should transport you. Now that the weather is starting to turn, it’s time to start getting real about our warm weather plans. Whether you decide to get a runway-inspired new haircut or you go on a shopping spree for your new warm-weather wardrobe, one thing is certain–it’s time to update your daily perfume.
Finding your perfect summertime scent can be harder than it sounds–there are a lot of factors to consider. “When considering a perfume for the summer there are a few things to consider,” says Yvan Jacqueline, the President of Parfums de Marly. “How long does it last on your skin? Fresh fragrances tend not to last as long on the skin in the summer. Does it reflect your personality and is it unique? Is it uplifting for you, or does it give you a sense of the season? Do you love it? At the end of the day, you are the one wearing the fragrance and you should love it and the way it makes you feel.” Keep in mind that the products you wear in the summer are most likely different than in the colder months. “I like to think about how my summer scent will compliment my SPF choice,” says Jennifer Capuano, the VP of Fragrances at Macy’s. “The two should wear nicely together since sunscreen is a must for protecting your skin.”
