For Chanel’s Métiers d'Art show in Tokyo yesterday, Blackpink’s Jennie went full goddess with her look. The K-pop singer and fashion house ambassador wore a short black cape coat with a pearl netted hair piece and lace tights. She accessorized with a black floral choker and bag with a white flower embellishment.
Jennie has really leaned into feminine fashion through her appearances in the last few weeks. In Cannes, for example, she wore a black lace Chanel midi dress with a black bow headband for the premiere of The Idol at the French city’s film festival.
At the photo call the next day, she also incorporated bows into her look with an off-the-shoulder midi dress and ribbon in her hair.
Jennie spoke to ELLE in an interview published in November about her hopes to act more following her role in The Idol. “Oh, I think definitely having this experience has opened my eyes into a new fun way of expressing myself,” she said. “I’ve learned a lot from Lily[-Rose Depp] while I was shooting, too. So I’m going to say yes. I loved it. I loved my experience so far.”
She also discussed how she de-stresses. “For the past few years, having my close friends, having my family around, and just trying to balance that work life and personal life was very important for me,” she said. “Because once you get caught in one life, if that’s not balanced, I think that’s when everything starts collapsing. I don’t think one specific thing could de-stress me, because we’ve got something going on every single moment, but keeping a positive mind, just taking care of your mental health and your body, is definitely something that I do....I meditate, stretch, read, sleep.”
