Taylor Swift dropped another subtle Easter egg that her 1989 re-recorded album is well on its way. The singer was photographed once again arriving at Electric Lady Studios in New York City yesterday, dressed up in a black belted maxi dress with Anine Bing sandals, a Mansur Gavriel purse, and a Cartier necklace. But it's her beauty look that's the real Easter egg: She wore Wayfarer sunglasses (also by Anine Bing) and red lipstick, signature elements of her 1989 album cycle style.
Swift has been photographed at Electric Lady Studios regularly over the last couple weeks when she is between Eras tour concerts. This is the most visible Swift has been in years and a stark change from how under the radar she was during her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn. Once Alwyn and Swift's breakup was reported in early April, and Swift's tour started, the singer has been photographed regularly in New York City and of course on stage across the country.
Us Weekly ran an update earlier this week on how Swift is doing this summer amid her new Matty Healy romance and tour. “Taylor has been spending much more time with Matty lately and she’s getting to like him the more she gets to know him,” a source said. “Although they briefly dated in the past [in 2014], it was so long ago, so she feels like she’s learning new things about him all over again.”
“It’s so refreshing, and she’s happier than she’s been in a long time,” the source added. “Things between them are fairly new, so it’s hard to tell if they’ll go the distance. But he makes Taylor really happy, and she wants to be with him whenever she has the chance.”
